Sometimes what you need is a professional product image which sits on a white or colored background. “Tone white” refers to shooting a product on a white background that has some tone and looks near white or very light grey. Or you can shoot your products on a solid color background. Either way these images tend to leak color onto the product a bit, altering the product slightly, but in many cases this is fine and the color pop help the image relate to the product brand colors.
Tone white is typically the most cost effective photography however it is also more limited in use. Knowing your end use cases will help determine if this is the best route to take with your catalog photography or marketing image needs.
